Little messes

Last night we went to a parenting conference called Kingdom Families (it was our third time to attend and it just keeps getting better and better and I keep learning more and more about how to be the mother God called me to be) Anyways it was late and the boys were tired but Caleb asked if he could hold Laken so I let him and got some super sweet pics out of it! my boys!

And this past weekend Pa and Granny came to visit. They took us out to Orlandos and then stopped by a gas station on the way home and Caleb got M&Ms, a rice krispie treat, Blue Bell Ice Cream and some animal crackers (he's not spoiled at all) Needless to say he cried when Pa and Granny left!

So Saturday morning I got Caleb some watermellon, milk and ONE powdered donut for breakfast and I went to work on some school while Colton took the boys and watched a movie in bed with them. Well although Colton is the BEST dad there is, sometimes he doesn't watch as closely as I would, and while they were movie watching Caleb came back into the kitchen, got out the entire bag of powered donuts and mashed them all over the table, floor, carpet ,chairs etc... then took the rest of the bag to share with daddy. Daddy thinking he had just hit the jackpot began to eat donuts in bed while watching a movie and Caleb now continued his destructive time and mashed them into our comforter and sheets (don't worry daddy got in trouble) haha I love little memories like this that we can laugh about and remember forever. Having kids is so much fun and the biggest blessing anyone could ever ask for!

Busy Boys!

Well we have been busy busy since Laken got here but I wanted to catch you up and show you some cute pics and videos over the last few weeks! Here I am 3 weeks after Laken! Me and Bug kissin it up! He kisses with his mouth open...

Laken Newborn Pics

Well if I do say so myself, Colton and I have some pretty good lookin kids... We are blessed with sweet precious little boys and here are some of Laken's newborn pics! ENJOY!

He did great the whole time and took amazing pics. I love my boys! I always thought I wanted girls (and I wouldn't mind if God gave us at least one ;) ) however I didn't know how sweet and wonderful it was to have boys! I wouldn't trade them for all the boys and frills in the world! haha

Chunky Monkey

Well I wouldn't exactly describe Laken as a chunky monkey, but he did gain a pound today at the doctor!!! YAY the doctor wants him back up to his birth weight by next Thursday so we will do another weight check then but this was HUGE progress. He is doing much much better and is so alert and happy. Such a sweet, content baby. Still only waking up once a night and just the best little thing. Caleb is still a great big bro! He is definitely 2 and we are having to discipline a WHOLE LOT more than we have ever had to in the past. He is definitely starting to test us and see how far he can push us. He is such a sweet boy and loves to play outside. He is all boy! He is a sweet little video of Laken I took today when we got back from the doctor. He was awake so I thought I would give you guys a peek at how sweet he is. Caleb had gone into his bedroom, climbed up in his bed and went to sleep at 11:00. Silly boy!

My new life!

So it is exactly 12:06 here and all of us are still in pjs, I haven't brushed my teeth yet (or even looked in a mirror), the house is a wreck, the boys have eaten like 6 times and I haven't eaten once, Laken is in my lap eating a bottle and Caleb is crawling on my chair smacking saying cookie... and the funny thing is that I wouldn't trade one second of it. I LOVE OUR NEW CRAZY LIFE!!! Although I am pretty sure I will never be anywhere on time again, or look super cute when I get there! haha

We have given up breast feeding. Well I more released myself of the guilt that I was not a good mom b/c I couldn't breast feed. Caleb turned out more than perfect and he is brillant, healthy, and happy and that is more important than beating myself up over something I can't control.

Caleb is an amazing big brother! He kisses Laken all the time. Hugs him all the time. Shows him all his cool toys, and hates for him to cry. Life is good. Our car broke down and God again provided like he always does when we rely on Him. I couldn't be happier. I love my life, I LOVE our boys, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my husband!

so Caleb and Laken have pink eye and Caleb also has a sinus infection... I am kinda at a breaking point. I really need some prayer that nothing else goes wrong these next few weeks. It has been a rough month. But Laken is precious and we just got his newborn pictures taken and they are so good. I will post them soon!

Terrible, Horrible, No good, very bad, day...

So Laken has already been such an amazing baby. He sleeps well and is so happy and content. Too content actually. We find ourselves again struggling with breast feeding... Laken has lost over a pound of weight in the short 7 days that he has been alive, but he has been so content that I didn't even know I was starving him. We have been back up to the hospital everyday doing weight checks and checking his jaundice level. We are still breast feeding at the moment, we are just supplimenting until we can get his weight back up. Hopefully that will be Friday and I can go back to just breastfeeding. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray that I am able to breast feed. I want to so very bad. Hopefully this is just a hiccup in the road and he will be bulked up and eating like a champ in no time!
