Caleb's newest quirk!

So Caleb goes from quirk to quirk and for a while this has been his thing. We read the Kissing Hand on a regular basis so now everyday he asks me to draw a circle and a square and a heart on one hand and a mommy loves me on the other hand... I love this boy and now he can remember all day!

Oh thank you Jesus!

I couldn't not blog about this because this is what makes my job worth it. Why I pour into my kids, pray for them, and try to be the best mom I can be!

So today we went outside to enjoy this beautiful weather and we played with bubbles, drew with chalk and ate yummy popsicles. We had come inside to eat lunch and Caleb came over to me and said, "Mommy thank you for blowing bubbles for me." "You are welcome!" I replied. "Thanks for eating popsicles with me." "You are welcome." I said again. "Mommy thank you for being my mommy." "That you are very welcome for Caleb." And with that I lost it. He is they sweetest little boy there is! Oh how I wouldn't trade being a mommy for all the money in the world. God is right, in case you thought he wasn't ;). Children are a HUGE blessing from God!

Mother's Day 2012!

This was definitely the BEST Mother's Day to date!!! Colton is going to have a hard time outdoing himself next year! ;) I woke up to homemade waffles, after getting to sleep in, and then took a shower ALL BY MYSELF!!! I never get to do that! haha Then we went to church, ate at Texas Roadhouse and played outside the rest of day! SO PERFECT!!! I also didn't change one diaper or wash one dish. My man knows how to make me happy! The day before Colton went and bought me tons of flowers and spent 5 hours planting them all while I told him where I wanted them. He is such a great husband and know what I want! The boys helped him too! I love being a mom!!!

 I told Caleb to pose and this is the pose he gave me. He makes me laugh everyday. I could write a book about the funny things this kid says and by now it would already be well over 300 chapters. Cracks me up!

What a wonderful day to be honored and appreciated in such a way that lets me know that my family knows all I do and that they appreciate it! I felt so special and LOVED every second of Mother's Day! Glad I get to be a mommy everyday though!!!

Oh the memories we make!

We took the boys camping at Buffalo Springs Lake on Friday and Saturday and we had so much fun. Yes I slept in a tent and yes I paid for it the next day... haha We truly did have fun and the boys LOVED it which is all that matters. This was the view from our tent. Stunning right???

 We all 5 hiked up to some caves. I was a nervous wreck!!!!! However again the boys loved it. Our friend David came and was our amazing photographer!

 Oh he couldn't resist... Can you say I peed in a cave??? They can!!!

 Laken is just like Colton... He would jump off a cliff, dive into open water and pet a snake. Yes he makes his mommy SUPER nervous. He loved the mud. He loves being outside!

Want a snack?

Okay so this is the funniest thing... Everyday when the boys wake up from their naps we have a snack. So this is what Laken does every time I ask him if he wants a snack. He is such a cutie! I will video what he does when I ask him if he wants to wake up his brothers later...;) Did I mention I love being a mom???

A mommy's thoughts!

I was sitting in the bathroom getting ready this morning when Laken came into the bathroom with his beloved blanket and climbed into my lap for a long cuddle session. If you know Laken, you know he is a busy body and doesn't cuddle very often so when he's in the mood I drop everything to take advantage of this precious time. While I was sitting there hugging him close, I felt God's presence so close saying, "You know how much you love your children? I love YOU even more than that." It is a love that I can not fathom. The love I have for my children is indescribable. I would die for them, spend every dime I have to get them their dreams, drop anything and everything if they needed something, and pour out all my energy, time and prayers to make sure that they are amazing men of God. I can't even imagine a love that is deeper than that. I started to cry when I heard God say this because although I know He loves me, it is little reminders like this that give me a whole new perspective on my precious daddy. I love my relationship with God. He is not this untouchable God that we can only hear about in church. He is my intimate friend, my closest companion, my comforter in times of need and my daddy. My daddy who hears all my needs and loves me more than I will ever know. He will NEVER leave me, NEVER abandon me, and NEVER turn his back on me and I am so thankful that He reminds me of those things when I need them most! I love you God! Thank you for moments like these!
