Missin me!

So I went to a Women's Retreat with my church this weekend and my sweet, brave husband stayed home all weekend by himself and watched all of our rowdy boys! He did a great job, but he did say he was really ready for me to come home!!!! haha So when I got home I asked all the boys to make a face about how they felt about me being gone (aka how much they missed me). This is the results... (this picture makes him look naked which could be a bit akward, however for the record I would like to state that he is not naked nor do we make it a habit to eat dinner without our shirts on... ;)

So as you can see I was missed VERY much and am so glad to be home!!!!!!!!!!

The many faces of Caleb!

So Caleb has many faces, most of which are happy but here he is giving us the run down on his faces... This is his mad face (I know it's very intimidating) His scared face...

He's a cutie! Caleb has also recently been "negotiating" with us... Like I will say it is naptime and he will say, no naptime watch gabba gabba then pudding! To which I just look at him and laugh. Or today at lunch I told him it was naptime and he told one cheetoh then naptime. Oh he is so just like me, Precious! ;)

So all is well and settling in at the Carthel house. I am getting back some order and structure now! yay!!! haha Bunk beds will be here tomorrow and some family pictures will be taken on Sunday! Here are some pics I took this morning of my sweet, spoiled Laken. Sooooo cute!

Today is a very special day because today is the day that we brought S into our home! I started mommy and me journals for the boys and I just wanted to share what was on my heart and what I wrote on his first page of his mommy and me journal! These journals are for us to write notes back and forth to eachother for our whole lives then they will have them to keep when they get older and remember all the things I think about them!

You just came to live in our home today and there is no doubt you fit perfectly into our home. It is amazing the journey it took to get you here but it was worth every tear, sweat, effort and all the time and prayers we put into getting you here. Our God is amazing and moves mountians for you because you are special. Your smile lighs up an entire room. You love to laugh. You run on your tip toes and you are so funny! You love Elmo and to sing at the top of your lungs. How precious you are! I am already so deeply in love with you. It already feels like you have been with us your whole life and I know God will mend the time we were apart so it will feel like we have always been together. You make me so happy! You love Jesus and I am so thankful that He brought us together. You have had a hard life until now, but now you are safe. Now you are secure. Now you are loved. Now you are a Carthel and you're not going anywhere!

Fabulous Fall!

So with Fall comes the most fabulous season ever... FOOTBALL SEASON!!! And here at the Carthel house we of course cheer for the amazing longhorns (even when they suck it up big time...) No band wagon fans here!!! haha So caleb can now do hook em horns all by himself so here he is puttin his horns up! He also yells Texas Fight and sings The Eyes of Texas at the top of his lungs all the time! Proud of my boy!!! I am in LOVE with pinterest. So here is some of my Fall decorating around the house.

We made a bird feeder today out of a juice carton, do here is Caleb watching ad waiting for the birds to come!

And here is our table. I dipped these leaves in wax then added some pumpkins to some candles and Ta Dah!

So excited to get Shannon tomorrow. It is all anyone in our house can talk about. We have custom ordered some bunk beds! (Colton designed them himself) and got all the bedding ready for when he gets here! (THANKS ROSEANN!!!) And now we just have to wait patiently! God is amazing. He is bigger than any of our problems we face. Lord we hear you word that children are a blessing and to go forth and multiply and we are doing just that. I love our home filled with the laughter and voices of children. Lets add LOTS more!!!!!
