God is AMAZING!!!!

So I haven't updated about S because we got some devestating news and I just wasn't emotionally ready to blog about it. CPS decided to rush the process and put S in a home without waiting for us. LLLOOOONNNGGG story but we thought it was over and grieved him and tried to move on.... But today I got a call from Brandi telling me his family wanted to talk to me and wanted him to come to our home. Another LONG story but God is great and hopefull now he will be with us. Where he belongs! Home!

All by myself!

So Caleb is the potty training champion as we all know but now he is wanting to take that skill to the big leagues and go ALL BY HIMSELF! So randomly throughout the day I will hear the potty flush and he is going by himself, or I will see him randomly running around naked and he will have gone potty. He can take his shorts and underwear off (and frequently does) but he doesn't know how to put them back on.... So I told him if he was going to go potty by himself he needed to put his underwear and pants back on so he didn't run around naked. Here are his valiant attempts! if you can't tell his pants are upside down.

and his underwear is being worn as a belt. Good try buddy! Today he came back in the living room with his pj pants inside out, but on correctly! We are getting closer!

I also have been so busy that I forgot to blog about his precious dedication! We have the whole thing on video but unfortunately it won't let me post it... Any whoo we had a great time and thank you everyone who came! Anna and the kids, Sandy and her kids, Josh, Careese and their kids, Mamaw and CarePaw, Pop and GiGi! It wouldn't have been the same without you!!!!

A few changes!

So we have had a few minor changes in our family lately... and for now they are wearing us all out! haha But seriously we have had some MAJOR changes in our life. Like meet our new son Shannon! He's pretty precious!

God put Shannon on our hearts and told us that he was our new son and that we needed to adopt him. So we obeyed God and Shannon will be coming to live with us in the next week and a half! forever. We could not be more excited! Caleb is thrilled to get a new brother. (we don't know how Laken feels!) haha but it is fun for God to ask you to continue to do big things in and us just be able to know and trust Him that He is God and we are not! I'm glad he chose me to bring in a precious child of his, raise him up in a home where he will be loved abundtly, cherished tremendoulsy, and taught deepely about the Lord! Yay for new additions. Yay for extending our family. Yay for God!
