An interesting night

Well last night was another fun night at the Carthel house. Since I have spent the last 3 nights on the couch I had the perfect solution to make Caleb sleep a long time. First I filled his belly so full he could last for hours. Then I gave him a warm bath so he would be all nice and clean. Then I put him in warm pjs and tucked him into bed. Well the second he got into bed he spit up all over him and his sheets so I changed his sheets and pjs and tried again.Then he pooped all over himself (for the second time that evening) so then again another night was spent on the couch...fail the belly pic again... just makes me laugh

Caleb is now eating everything in sight (really just breast milk and formula) however try and stop him from eating and you get major bad looks and horrific screams. He is eating OFTEN and lots. I feel like all I do is feed this growing little boy. Here is proof that he has been eating non-stop. The belly. Especially after he eats. It pouches out and makes me laugh! Exhibit A hahahahahahahahahahahah What a cute little belly!

Baby Caleb is one month old!!!

Caleb is one month! Can you believe it? He is just getting so big. I love it when he's awake (during the day haha) When we can look into eachothers eyes and bond. I love him more than I ever thought was possible!

A little baby footage!

We had some mommy/Caleb bonding time today while he was awake so I thought I would share a little with you! He was so fun yesterday and we talked and interacted. Sorry it's a little dark I'm not great with technology.... I love him oh so much!!!

Now I know that this picture might not mean anything to you, however this pic is monumental in my world! This is Caleb asleep in his cradle! He has been sleeping in our bed since the day we brought him home from the hospital. I finally figured out the problem (with the help of some great friends Careese and Wendy) that he is not getting enough food and that has been the reason for the screaming for 4 hours straight, the not sleeping anywhere but our bed (if we can even get him to sleep) and the eating for 1 hour at a time every 2 hours. I starting giving him 1 ounce of formula after he eats and he has turned into a NEW BABY! He is happy, he cooed today and smiled while he was awake! What a great day already and it is just getting started. But the best thing wa that I got 5 hours of sleep last night in a bed that only had 2 people in it. Oh and a puppy! Yay for supplimenting! I feel better already!

Aunt Careese came to visit!!!!

Careese and Wendy came to visit today and we had a lot of fun! Caleb got to play with Levi and Aubrey. He had a little baby crush on Aubrey since he wouldn't take his eyes off of her the entire time (we have some proof in later pics), however we all had a great time!

See the proof... I guess we are going to have to start talking about girls a little early with this one! haha

So I kinda lied to Careese. Not on purpose but before today we had a great track record of having never spit up after eating. We were just talking about how lucky I was when Caleb decided to break his winning streak on Careese. Poor Careese. Thanks for breaking him in though!

All in all we had a fun day! Thanks for coming to visit!

Sunday Funday!

The whole family finally made it to church and we even had time to take pictures! We did good! Here is what we looked like! One hot family! I love my men!!!

Sleepy time!

Daddy got caught sleeping on the job. Isn't this the sweetest picture EVER! By the way our internet has been down for a while so that is the reason for so many blogs at once! Just so ya know! I love my sweet boys. Especially when they are quiet and asleep!

My first official bath!

This was Caleb's first official bath because his umbilical cord finally fell off so we got to take a bath. As you can see he LOVED it...haha I don't think this was the most pleasant experience ever. You decide.

Shug, Dolly, Spark, Sparky... Grandparents came to visit!!!

I think we have now changed back to Shug and Sparky but we haven't quite decided on grandparents names yet... none the less they came to visit!!! We had a great time. We went and ate at Cheddars then just hung out at the house with baby Caleb. We were both so glad that they came and hope to see them again soon.

The most important lesson we learned today is that Caleb is a Longhorn fan. Only 1 week and 5 days and he can already do the Hook em' Horns sign. This baby is amazing. We also learned that when Sparky sings The Eyes of Texas Caleb goes right to sleep. I started him early so he will always make good choices!!!

Now on to the people he got to see! He loved being with Shug. I'm pretty sure she loved him too!

And Sparky is already an awesome Grandpa!And here we are taking a nap while the grandparents are here! What a studly boy. We love him soooooooo very much! Thanks for spending the day with us Shug and Sparky! See ya again soon!

Today was the first day for mommy and Caleb to be home alone together all day! It was so much fun getting to spend an entire day alone with him. Today we made chicken noodle soup, scrubbed the bathrooms, read a chapter in our book, took an hour and a half nap, ate, changed diapers, and got a bath with wipes! What an exciting day! I love being a mommy. Best job ever!!!

This did not happen today, however I thought it was too funny too leave off the blog. Kenzie tried to eat a entire ear of corn. She is so funny!
I look forward to many more days with my baby boy! I'm glad I have the best husband ever who lets me stay home with my baby!

Great Grandparents Day!

Grammy and Poppy came to visit yesterday and we had a blast. Is was fun getting to see them and Caleb fell in love immediately. We went to lunch and just visited! Thanks for coming we love you very much!
